Our Annual Tradition

For the past few years, we’ve taken family photos for our Christmas cards as a new annual tradition just before the holidays. This is something that we find very exciting; dressing up, taking photos, and enjoying all of the pretty and extravagant lights and holiday décor.

Season of Festivities

This year, we’re even more excited and the festivities are more festive thanks to the newest addition to our family. For me, it’s different than the past two years–both of which I was pregnant. Now, we get to celebrate the holidays with our girls, making it for a very special time of year. It’s especially amazing watching their excitement and little eyes light up on Christmas morning; it’s the most precious thing I have ever witnessed.

‘Tis the Season

Last year, we celebrated Blakely’s very first Christmas. She was a little too young to truly understand everything, but we know that this year, Christmas will have a whole new meaning for her. Blakely is almost two, so I am really looking forward to having the opportunity to do a few new things with her this holiday season.

She is truly a bright-spirited girl who genuinely enjoys life.

Some of the things we look forward to doing are taking her on a sleigh ride, making her wish list, taking her to the Christmas stroll, and of course, leaving out cookies for Santa to eat.

Christmas Spirit

As her imagination begins to really blossom, I believe she will truly understand and get into the Christmas spirit this year. She loved seeing all of the ornaments and decorations around the Christmas tree at Union Station in Denver. This is where we took our family photos this year.

Santa Clause

Blakely’s eyes lit up. She was like a kid in the candy store when she saw all of the decorations there. Although, like most kids that age, she definitely wasn’t a huge fan of Santa when we first went to see him. I guess we’ll have to work on that part a bit.

Although Blakely wasn’t having it, baby sister, Isla was definitely loving jolly ol’ Saint Nick. She had no problem sitting on his lap and staring in his eyes. I can just tell she was telling him her Christmas list through telepathy.

Isla’s First Christmas

This will be Isla’s first Christmas and we’re the most excited to have her in our family this holiday. She is the most amazing gift we received this year. She’s sweet, innocent, and absolutely adores Blakely. For this, we are truly thankful.

Many blessings to you and yours

We are genuinely blessed that we have the opportunity to enjoy this holiday season with our loved ones. God has blessed our lives with two beautiful girls, and for that we are truly grateful. We thank God every single day for our little miracles.

We know now how much children can bring the Christmas spirit alive for our family. They sure give the holidays a new and beautiful meaning. From our family to yours, we hope you all have a great holiday season, and a happy and prosperous New Year.
