This past year has been such an amazing venture for us to say the least, despite hard economic times and we can’t believe this day has finally come! Starting and growing an elevated fitness and fashion brand has always been a dream of ours and for it to all to come to fruition is pretty surreal! The truth is “YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS- YOU JUST HAVE TO WANT IT BAD ENOUGH!” THERE TRULY ARE NO LIMITS, YOU JUST HAVE TO BE WILLING TO BECOME UNCOMFORTABLE....

Happy Due Date, baby! I feel in my heart of hearts Happy Due Date, baby! I feel in my heart of hearts, as of today, I’m ready for this baby to come at any time! I feel more at peace knowing it could happen any day and I’m just praying I am able allow this baby to come when it’s ready- all within gods timing!❤️

Fitness during pregnancy✨ . I know that for me, Fitness during pregnancy✨

I know that for me, even as a former collegiate athlete, extremely active with a fitness background, I had so many questions when it came to working out during my first pregnancy. Am I doing enough? Am I doing too much? How many days of cardio/strength? What exercises are most beneficial during pregnancy? Etc. 
.
So I know many mamas, especially newly expecting mamas are in the same boat. I wanted to share what has worked for me and has been the most beneficial during my pregnancies and postpartum when it comes to fitness.
.
I am currently doing the @expectingandempowered strength/resistance training program 3 days a week for my strength days. They are designed by a women’s health pt and each guide is written for each trimester and specific to each week of pregnancy. There is a lower body, upper body and full body strength/resistance day each week.
.
The results truly speak for themselves and are for every fitness level. They are as hard or as easy as you make them, by going up in weight and doing them for time. As a busy mama, you can do them from home, with minimal equipment and there is a postpartum guide that begins day one after you give birth. Postpartum begins with diaphragmatic breathing and deep core work and then dives into the strength and resistance  training once you are cleared by your doctor to workout again!

As far as cardio, I recommend 2-3 days cardio paired with the strength training days! I typically do one day of hiit of some kind (bike, hike, walking intervals etc.) and 1-2 lsd (long slow distance) training days. The best thing is to listen to your body and take rest days when you need- you can modify based on your specific pregnancy and fitness level! This is just a good basis and what has worked well for me.
