Becoming a mama is sincerely the most beautiful, rewarding and precious gift in the world! Even the most trying, exhausting and hardest days are a million times worth it, but I think it’s also important to acknowledge that it’s ok to have really overwhelming days and it’s ok to not always be okay.
It’s easy to sweep things under the rug and to not allow yourself to completely honor your emotions when you have a million things on your plate and are expected to be there for everyone else, all the time, but you cannot continually pour from an empty cup and in order to grow through things, you have to go through them. So, I want you to know that I see you, I feel you and I am here for you! Motherhood is like joining a club that you never knew you so badly needed until you become part of it and I am thankful for all of you on this journey!

Happy Sunday!!! Off to get brunch, (pancakes and green tea,) but most importantly, I woke up today with such a grateful heart. I loved seeing so many people, last night, who will always hold a special place in my heart and who bring me back to my roots!

Weekend Mood... . . Rest and Recovery are just as

Weekend Mood...

Rest and Recovery are just as important as the grind... Never been so busy in my life; never felt more fire and energy...
.
For most of my life, I believed pushing through the hard days meant getting more out of them. I was constantly adding to my already full plate. Each day, I trained as hard as I possibly could, thinking I’d only get better. I never took rest days and hardly said no. My mental and physical limits were always forced to max effort. At the time, my value was defined by being able to do it all.
.
I now realize that living this way leads to exhaustion and burnout and I know that my worth isn’t defined by being perfect. I let go of the guilt of trying to do it all and I outsource where I can. I take rest days, so that I am able go all out for 2-3 days. As a mama, the hardest challenge I’ve faced is hiring out help with the girls and learning how to let go of some of that control and anxiety.
.
Although, I am a work in progress, I do believe that I’ve gotten better with time and experience. I have so much respect and admiration for all of you working and stay at home moms.... you’re all amazing and I wish you all a wonderful weekend!
